INDEPENDENT FLORIST LK VERDANT PUTS A LUXURY STAMP ON INTIMATE WEDDINGS DURING THE PANDEMIC

Instagram’s most exquisite florist account, LK Verdant, has vowed to make every bride’s wedding vision a reality, even in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic. The bespoke floristry business, which launched in April 2016, has adapted with the times and created a Pinterest-worthy wedding promise with an affordable price tag – offering a fresh collection of bridal bouquets and flowers that are perfect for weddings of up to 15 people. With intimate weddings becoming the norm, research from Hitched.co.uk has found that 95% of couples are not planning on cancelling their wedding this year, proving that even a pandemic can’t stop a celebration. And for LK Verdant, micro weddings make for lavish blooms – after all, there’s something special about a small, romantic occasion where flowers can be immaculately planned out – unlike large-scale weddings that tend to showcase roses and peonies in overload. With this bespoke approach, LK Verdant’s founder Raysa handmakes each bouquet in her workshop (whether it’s for a blushing bride or surprise gift to a loved one), located in North West England. As a one-man band, she designs and creates every bouquet, flower hatbox and arrangement at LK Verdant and smothers them with love, care and undivided attention. ‘Flowers are so unique in their own right and deserve to be shown off at a wedding,’ says Raysa. ‘I’ve absolutely loved creating floral bouquets, décor and arrangements for Covid-19 weddings as flowers are there to set the scene, complement and uplift a couple on their big day. Autumnal and Winter floral palettes are big at the moment, so I like to incorporate pumpkins, acorns and crisp orange leaves into these displays.’

LK VERDANT x VOGUE WEDDINGS COLLABORATION

Raysa’s latest venture with LK Verdant is her collaboration with Vogue Weddings. Inspired by seasonal wedding flowers, LK Verdant will be taking over the Vogue Weddings Instagram channel on 5th and 6th October 2020, demonstrating how to create a floral vase arrangement and showcase it at an intimate wedding dinner. Her exclusive arrangement is filled with white Majolica roses, peachy Vuvuzela roses and dancing dahlias, whilst the shrub rice flowers, fern and clusters of crisp white delphinium inject a chic, wild vibe. Then there’s the dried pampas stems, twigs, and seasonal fruits to add depth to the design, which is expected to inspire many brides to-be, whether they’ve already secured their wedding florist or are doing a DIY wedding.

THE BRAND

The idea of LK Verdant was dreamed up in Raysa’s head as a child, as she helped her father regularly in their garden. Encouraged to take up a career away from floristry, she started researching cancer for the NHS. Despite her hugely rewarding career that she loved, floristry was her real passion and it wasn’t until she met her husband that she took the plunge to start her own business. As a mum of two boys, entrepreneur and flower fanatic, she’s turned her pastime into a successful florist business, featuring in OK! Magazine, Selfridges, ITVBe, Daily Mail and Sky News, supplying celebrity weddings and creating flowers for people all over the world.

LK VERDANT FLOWERS

Home to a variety of designed and customised flowers, LK Verdant’s range includes premium hand-tied flowers, hatbox flowers, Forever Roses, Flowerfix Letterbox Flowers, vase arrangements, dried flowers, plants, and foliage. The uplifting nature of flowers is close to the brand’s heart and soul, from the names chosen to the meaning behind the colours and scents. Raysa’s journey is also reflected in her products, like the Forever Rose in a velvet hatbox that launched to raise awareness for postnatal depression after recovering from it herself. This included illustrated mirrors with uplifting quotes and stickers to empower fellow mums to stay strong. Most popular amongst LK Verdant customers are the personalised vase arrangements, designed to match the client’s personality, home and favourite colours and The Candy Forever Rose – a single rose in a little hatbox, which lasts up to a year.
